Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Coatings Inspector II to lead coating and lining inspections on industrial projects. You will plan hold points, verify prep and cure, and sign off at each step while preparing clear reports for owners and engineers.

The role requires CIP Level 2, 2+ years’ experience with SSPC/NACE standards, and on-site work with travel. Pay ranges $40–$55/hour and includes constant safety and quality emphasis.

Qualifications

• AMPP CIP Level 2 certification, current, with 2+ years inspecting under it.
• Command of SSPC/NACE surface preparation standards and common industrial coating systems.
• Experience on tank, pipeline, water/wastewater, or structural steel coating projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan inspection hold points and testing from the coating specification and the manufacturer's data.
• Verify surface preparation, application, and cure with sign-off authority at each hold point.
• Perform adhesion, holiday, and cure testing; write inspection and nonconformance reports.
