Job summary

Advanced Lining, a UFT company, seeks a Crew Lead to supervise coating crews on surface prep, infiltration stopping, and application. The role requires coordinating daily field activities, ensuring quality workmanship, and maintaining safe, efficient job sites. Travel 90%+ locally and out-of-state is expected.

Qualifications

• Two or more years of coating application or relevant industrial coatings experience required.
• Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification preferred.
• AMPP/SSPC/NACE coatings certification or willingness to pursue certification required.
• Able to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card and unrestricted driver's license with an acceptable MVR; a clean driving record is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise crew members in surface preparation, coating application, and infiltration stopping activities
• Coordinate daily work assignments, equipment setup, material preparation, and job site cleanup
• Oversee coating application using brush, roller, or spray equipment to ensure quality and compliance with project specifications
• Ensure coatings and materials are properly mixed and applied according to manufacturer specifications
• Monitor environmental conditions, including dew point, temperature, and humidity, to ensure proper coating application
• Enforce all safety procedures and ensure crew members wear proper PPE, including respirators and fall protection
• Conduct safety meetings, toolbox talks, and training sessions to promote safe work practices
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment while monitoring equipment and material needs
• Complete daily production reports, safety logs, and other required job site documentation
• Communicate project progress, safety concerns, and operational needs to management
• Provide hands‑on training, coaching, and direction to crew members to support productivity and professional development
