Job summary

Stanley Electric U.S. is seeking an experienced Coatings Engineer with expertise in vacuum metallizing and robotic spray painting for our London, Ohio facility.

A bachelor’s degree in engineering and 2+ years of on-the-job engineering experience with fluent English are required. The role focuses on coordinating new model development, implementing process improvements, and supporting profitability through manufacturing excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• 2+ years engineering experience; automotive background preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical.
• Familiarity with robots and PLCs a plus.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, budgets and deadlines.
• Demonstrated knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor, and/or CATIA.
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical ability.
• Knowledge of PLC programming for troubleshooting purposes.
• Demonstrated knowledge of vacuum metallizing and robotic spray painting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate new model development by determining specifications for production.
• Implement process improvement projects to increase profitability.
• Troubleshoot and develop countermeasures to improve production.
• Participate in new model development: drawing review, start-up, tooling design, process development, robot programming.
• Participate in capital investment planning for testing, new equipment, installation.
• Support a production customer in a JIT manufacturing environment.
• Assist in cost-reduction by monitoring raw material usage and rejects.
• Provide technical support to production, process, and maintenance groups to reduce downtime.
