Coherent Corp in Budd Lake, NJ, is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for the Crystal Coating Department. The role focuses on preparing coating tooling for use by bead blasting, cleaning, and maintaining automated lines while supporting cleanroom operations.

You will restock consumables, assist in sapphire packing, and verify surface quality against drawings using microscopy and spectrophotometers where applicable. This is a full-time position with hourly pay and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Must have 5+ years in a lab or manufacturing setting using a microscope.
• Proficient in data entry with basic computer skills.
• Able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs on occasion.

Responsibilities

• Load tooling into bead blaster and operate it per instructions.
• Refill and clean the bead blaster as needed to maintain throughput.
• Maintain automated cleaning lines, replace detergents and filters.
• Load optics into fixtures; inspect with a microscope for quality.
