Job summary

EnerStaff is seeking a Coating Operator in Houston, TX for a temp-to-hire role. Work on the 2nd shift (3:30pm-2am) in a facility that handles powder and solvent-based coatings for waterworks products. Start ASAP with a pay range of $17-$19 per hour.

The role focuses on applying coatings, maintaining quality and safety, and ensuring production standards are met. Candidates with experience in coatings, spray painting, and warehouse tasks are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

Experience with coating or spray painting, including powder coating, both with manual and automatic systems.
1-3 years’ experience completing warehouse tasks.
Experience in a warehouse/distribution center specializing in the waterworks industry or related products.
Experience with powder coating.

Responsibilities

Apply coatings according to production specifications and work instructions.
Monitor coating thickness, adhesion, and finish requirements.
Prepare surfaces before coating (cleaning, masking, sanding, blasting as required).
Load and unload parts onto coating lines or workstations.
Perform routine equipment checks and basic maintenance.
Identify and report coating defects or equipment issues.
Maintain the cleanliness of the area.
Adhere to all safety rules, PPE requirements including full face respirator, and company policies.
Other tasks assigned by supervisor or management.
