Job summary

Twitchell Technical Products, Inc. - Dothan, AL 36303 seeks an entry-level manufacturing worker for full-time night shift roles. You will operate and monitor equipment, load materials, and follow detailed process instructions to produce finished goods, with attention to quality and safety.

Applicants should read, write and perform basic math; read a tape measure; and operate a forklift. Training will be provided in a collaborative manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Refers to weekly schedule for material order sequence.

• Uses QSR-C851-006 to set up the machine.
• Monitors material to meet specs and checks width.
• Follows packaging instructions to stack finished goods.
• Maintains safety and a clean work area; reports hazards.
• Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Description

Knowledge & Experience: Manufacturing experience is helpful. Present and promote people skills to work well with team members, customers, and vendors. The ability to read, write, and perform simple math.

Skills & Abilities: Have the ability to learn and operate machine computer processors and controls. Have the ability to read a tape measure, operate a lift truck, and read and follow written instructions.

Working Conditions: Willing to work 12-hour shifts, nights, and weekends. Be adaptable to changing working environments.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Refers to the weekly schedule to verify the order of material to be run.
• Checks control sheet (QSR-C851-006) to determine materials needed to produce desired finished goods.
• Loads needed goods on Slitter/Sheeter and stages remainder of material behind the machine.
• Refers to form QSR-C851-006 to set the machine up.
• Uses the information on the QSR-C851-006 Control Sheet to process material in order with customer specifications; adjusts as needed to meet those specs. Monitors the material for defects and proper width.
• Refers to form QSR-C851-006 packaging instructions to properly stack and package the finished goods.
• Follows all safety requirements & reports any safety hazards that he or she may see to the lead person/supervisor.
• Maintains a clean and safe work area. Sweeps and cleans the area at the end of each shift.
• Performs all other duties assigned by the shift supervisor, Production Manager, or Coating General Manager.
