Job summary

Anchor Bay Powder Coat in New Baltimore, MI is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support production by preparing, coating, inspecting, and moving parts through the process. You will follow safety guidelines, read work orders, maintain documentation, and assist with blasting, powder coating, curing, and finishing while contributing to quality and continuous improvement initiatives.

This full-time role requires the ability to stand, lift up to 50 pounds, and work on either the 1st or 2nd shift

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing or production preferred.
• Forklift experience is a plus.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Detail-oriented and quality-focused.
• Experience in ISO 9001 environment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare parts for processing through cleaning, masking, plugging, and staging activities.
• Load and unload parts, materials, and products onto racks, hooks, conveyors, carts, and other production equipment.
• Operate production equipment and tools as trained and assigned.
• Assist with blasting, painting, powder coating, curing, and finishing processes.
• Read and follow work orders, production schedules, process instructions, and quality requirements.
• Inspect products and components to ensure compliance with customer and quality standards.
• Accurately complete required production documentation and records.
• Identify and report quality issues, equipment concerns, safety hazards, or production delays.
• Cross-train and perform duties in multiple departments as business needs require.
