Technique LLC in Michigan seeks a Powder Coat Technician/Production Worker for 1st shift. You will apply powder coat, wet spray, Cerakote, and hydro dip, and prepare parts for coating to meet print specs and on-time delivery.

You must have powder coating experience, be comfortable in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, and operate coating equipment. This full-time role includes overtime and a benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Demonstrable experience in powder coating, paint shop operations, or manufacturing.
• Ability to understand basic mechanical and manufacturing techniques.
• Able to work independently with supervision and to problem solve.
• Willingness to pass road test and drive Technique trucks if required.

Responsibilities

• Work safely and follow safety procedures.
• Prepare parts for coating including cleaning and masking.
• Apply coating techniques using powder coat, wet spray, Cerakote, and hydro dip.
• Operate coating equipment such as guns, hoppers, and booths.
• Operate a lift truck or obtain a lift truck license if required.
• Monitor equipment and detect defects; troubleshoot as needed.
• Ensure quality and on-time delivery of coated parts.
• Maintain and repair painting equipment and assist in repairs.
• Use job travelers and blueprints; read customer prints.
• Use ERP system (E2) for inventory and workflow.
• Inspect painted product and complete documentation; maintain quality records.
• Perform paint quality determinations and ensure proper curing temperatures.
• Troubleshoot powder coat process and adjust conveyors/sprayers as needed.
• Assemble and manage fixtures; package product for dispatch.
• Support development and process improvements; participate in safety functions.
