Job summary

Shopko Optical in De Pere, Wisconsin, seeks a Production Lead to supervise the Coating Department and act as the technical lead for efficient operation of all equipment. You will drive quality, productivity, and turnaround goals while mentoring staff.

Starting pay is $20.50/hour with first shift hours. Enjoy on-the-job training, 401k with match, and paid time off as part of a progressive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of optical manufacturing or related leadership experience.
• Demonstrated hands-on leadership capability.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, direct and control the work of staff in the Coating Department.
• Coordinate efforts with Production Manager – Coating.
• Monitor processes for quality checks and develop countermeasures.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and engage Maintenance when needed.
• Communicate using troubleshooting boards in each Coating room.
• Review jobs to meet Optical Lab standards.
• Ensure teammates receive applicable training and safety procedures.
• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Work flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
• Travel independently to support Company objectives.
