Job summary

Staffmark is now hiring a Coating Operator in Tucson, AZ. You will set up and operate a coating line, produce materials to quality specifications, coordinate job changeovers, and monitor the master production schedule.

The schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with pay between $18.00 and $20.00 per hour in a professional work environment. The role requires at least one year of plant or manufacturing experience and sandblasting or surface-prep experience, plus strong problem-solving,

Qualifications

• At least one year of plant or manufacturing experience.
• Sandblasting or surface-preparation experience required.
• Ability to work accurately with minimal supervision.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Effective organization and time-management skills.
• Ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work well under pressure.
• Strong attention to quality and safety.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate an assigned coating line.
• Produce materials according to quality requirements.
• Coordinate job changeovers.
• Review manufacturing orders and prepare for upcoming runs.
• Monitor the master production schedule.
• Complete production runs according to specifications.
• Record production information and test results.
• Complete required production and quality reports.
• Enter data using job travelers and designated software.
• Operate line controls, consoles, stations, and tools.
• Maintain clean and organized machine areas.
• Follow all workplace safety procedures.
