Shaw Industries Group, Inc. seeks a results-driven Coating Department Manager to lead the coating operations, develop frontline leaders, and partner with engineering, maintenance, quality, and production teams to optimize performance.

You will guide a team of managers, operators, and technicians, driving safety, quality, and continuous improvement while shaping plant-wide results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Four year college degree (Engineering degree preferred).
• Manufacturing department management experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and monitor coating production schedules to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.
• Oversee equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and downtime reduction.
• Ensure adherence to production specifications and customer requirements.
• Manage, coach, and mentor a team of Coating Team Managers, operators, and technicians.
• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
• Assess regular team performance and assist in implementing training programs to enhance skills and productivity.
• Collaborate with the Quality team to identify and address quality concerns.
• Implement corrective actions to maintain and improve product quality.
• Analyze production data to detect patterns and recommend process improvements.
• Enforce workplace safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with company standards.
• Ensure routine departmental safety audits are being conducted and potential hazards are being addressed.
• Lead initiatives to optimize processes, reduce waste, and increase operational efficiency.
• Stay updated on Coating trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance department performance.
