Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Coater Operator to ensure scheduled orders are completed according to manufacturing specifications while upholding safety and quality in a team setting.

The role involves operating and monitoring coating processes, performing routine checks, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should be comfortable with manual tasks, reading gauges, and collaborating with cross-functional teams in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High degree of manual dexterity.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters.
• Knowledge of production schedules.
• Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry.
• Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail.
• May be required to obtain a tow-motor license.

Responsibilities

• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift.
• Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers.
• Perform quality and standard checks.
• Participate in die changes as scheduled.
• Complete appropriate data sheets as required.
• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
• Follow "Red Tag" procedures if required.
• Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility.
• Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas.
• Maintain inventories needed for production run.
• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers.
• Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process.
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projects.
