Job summary

Shurtape Technologies, LLC is seeking a Coater Operator to ensure scheduled orders are completed per specifications while maintaining safety, quality and production in a collaborative manufacturing setting. The role involves reading measurements, performing quality checks and supporting continuous improvement on the shop floor.

Qualifications

• High manual dexterity is required with attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a manufacturing team.
• Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters accurately.
• Knowledge of production schedules and workflow.
• Basic math, computer skills and data entry proficiency.
• Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specs precisely.
• Tow-motor license may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate coater equipment to meet production schedules.
• Use logbooks to document shift issues and incidents.
• Perform quality and standard checks on produced items.
• Assist in die changes as scheduled.
• Complete data sheets and report findings as required.
• Troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance and safety inspections.
• Follow safety rules when entering the facility.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and inventory.
• Share knowledge with operators and coworkers.
• Suggest cost reductions, safety improvements, and process enhancements.
• Participate in S4 continuous improvement meetings and projects.
