Job summary

The Coater Operator at Shurtape Technologies, LLC ensures scheduled orders are completed according to specifications, while upholding safety, quality and production standards in a collaborative team environment.

You will perform quality checks, participate in die changes, maintain clean work areas, and assist with data entry and troubleshooting. The role emphasizes teamwork, adherence to procedures, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

  • High degree of manual dexterity.
  • Ability to work as a team member.
  • Ability to read length measurements, gauges and meters.
  • Knowledge of production schedules.
  • Basic math skills, computer skills, and data entry.
  • Ability to follow work instructions, safety rules, and specifications with great attention to detail.
  • Tow-motor license may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift.
  • Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers.
  • Perform quality and standard checks.
  • Participate in die changes as scheduled.
  • Complete appropriate data sheets as required.
  • Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep work areas clean and organized.
  • Support inventory maintenance and cost-improvement ideas.
  • Collaborate with teammates to meet production goals.

Other duties may be assigned.• Utilize logbooks for issues that occur on shift• Indirectly responsible for the safety of the crewmembers• Perform quality and standard checks• Participate in die changes as scheduled• Complete appropriate data sheets as required• Perform troubleshooting, preventative maintenance and safety inspections• Follow “Red Tag” procedures if required• Follow all safety rules when entering the manufacturing facility• Responsible for maintaining clean and organized work areas• Maintain inventories needed for production run• Communicate and share knowledge with operators and coworkers• Make suggestions on reducing costs, improving safety, and/or improving product or process• Participate in S4 continuous improvement team meetings and projectsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
