Job summary

ITW Specialty Films in Kalkaska, MI seeks a Coater Operator for a 3rd shift (Sun-Thu, 10:00pm–6:30am). Starting pay is $24.75/hour, including shift premium, plus a $2,500 sign-on bonus paid over time. You will set up, troubleshoot, and operate coating equipment to produce ink-coated jumbo rolls per specs.

Responsibilities include QA testing, material handling, data entry, and maintaining safe operations. Prior manufacturing aptitude and PPE usage are preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Basic computer/keyboard skills for data entry and lookups preferred.
• Ability to work overtime/flexible shift.
• Physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Start/stop machine via control panel.
• Align/fasten machine parts using hand tools.
• Thread or feed polyester and adjust temperature, speed, and flow.
• Monitor for defects and adjust as needed.
• Measure/test products to ensure specs and perform QA testing.
