Job summary

Oceanpoint Ranch in Cambria, CA is seeking a friendly Server to contribute to a welcoming dining experience. You’ll greet guests, assist with seating, take orders, and serve food and beverages, while keeping stations clean and organized.

The role requires 1+ year in restaurant or hospitality, strong communication, a team attitude, ability to make menu recommendations, basic math, and the stamina to stand for long periods. Evening and weekend availability is preferred.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of restaurant, food and beverage, or hospitality experience preferred.
• Friendly, approachable, and professional approach to guest service.
• Strong communication and team-oriented attitude.
• Ability to make menu recommendations and confidently suggest additional items.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to food quality and service standards.
• Basic math skills for guest checks and payments.
• Ability to stay organized and work efficiently in a busy environment.
• Dependable, adaptable, and willing to help wherever needed.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices, or willingness to learn.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests and provide friendly, personalized service throughout their dining experience.
• Set and prepare tables and dining areas for service.
• Take guest orders, make menu recommendations, and suggest additional food and beverage options.
• Serve food and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages professionally and efficiently.
• Check in with guests throughout their visit to ensure satisfaction and address any needs.
• Complete side work, including stocking service stations, filling condiments, and rolling silverware.
• Clear, clean, and reset tables promptly for incoming guests.
• Maintain a clean, organized dining area and support kitchen cleanliness as needed.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and established service standards.
• Communicate guest requests and service needs clearly with fellow team members.
• Report lost and found items or property damage to the appropriate supervisor.
• Support other team members and departments to help the restaurant and hotel run smoothly.
