Job summary

The Foth Companies are seeking a team-focused Project Engineer to support coastal, waterfront, and dredging projects across ports, marinas, shorelines, and marine infrastructure in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. The role involves traveling to client sites 30-50% and collaborating with project managers, scientists, and construction teams from concept through construction.

Requirements include a Civil/Coastal/Marine/Ocean Engineering degree, 5+ years of engineering consulting experience, 4+

Qualifications

• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.
• 4+ years construction oversight and field services experience.
• Experience coordinating with contractors and resolving on-site issues.

Responsibilities

• Perform coastal engineering analyses and wave/structural calculations for waterfront and shoreline projects.
• Develop and review design drawings, details, and specifications for coastal/marine projects.
• Prepare construction documents: plans, specs, reports, memoranda.
• Support field activities with technical oversight, RFIs, submittals, and site visits.
• Contribute to proposals, cost estimates, and regulatory coordination.
