Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a team-focused Project Engineer to support coastal, waterfront, and dredging projects across ports and shorelines. Located near Petaluma or the greater San Francisco Bay Area, you will travel to client sites roughly 30-50% of the time and work with project managers, scientists, and construction crews through from concept to construction.

The role requires a Civil/Coastal/Marine/Ocean Engineering degree, 5+ years of consulting experience, 4+ years of field oversight,

Qualifications

• EIT certification is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Structural, Coastal, Marine, Ocean Engineering or closely related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform coastal engineering analyses, including wave/structural calculations for waterfront and shore protection systems.
• Develop and review engineering design drawings, details, and specifications for coastal projects.
• Prepare construction documents: plans, specs, reports, and memos.
• Support construction activities with technical oversight, RFIs, submittals, and site visits in the Bay Area.
