Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking an experienced Executive Sous Chef for a high-volume waterfront restaurant, specializing in fresh American and coastal cuisine. This role serves as the Executive Chef's right hand, supervising daily execution, developing the culinary team, and taking ownership of kitchen operations when the Executive Chef is away.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong technical skills who can command the line, train staff, and ensure consistency during busy service.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of upper culinary leadership in a high-volume, full-service restaurant
• Hands-on scratch-kitchen background with seafood, proteins, sauces, and produce
• Proven ability to lead line execution while maintaining food quality, presentation, ticket times, and consistency

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen execution and maintain high standards during service
• Develop and mentor Sous Chefs and BOH staff
• Step in for Executive Chef and manage BOH operations as needed
• Ensure food quality, presentation, ticket times, and consistency
