Job summary

Florida Department of Environmental Protection's Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection seeks an intermediate environmental professional in Tallahassee. Qualifications

  • At least four years of verifiable related experience in an environmental field (or post-secondary degrees on a year-for-year basis).
  • Knowledge of Florida coastal policies and environmental field sampling techniques.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance principles and data management best practices.
  • Ability to conduct field audits and interpret rules and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and reviews SOPs for sample collection, field testing, and QA documentation.
  • Performs QA support activities and evaluates the Quality System effectiveness.
  • Conducts audits of ORCP activities and contractors.
  • Coordinates special projects and supports statewide ecosystem assessment programs.
