Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson is seeking a Coastal Engineer to lead multidisciplinary coastal and resilience projects, applying advanced modeling and design to address flood risk reduction and shoreline protection.

You will translate coastal processes into practical, constructible solutions, collaborate with structural, environmental, and regulatory teams, and contribute to proposal development and client engagement.

Qualifications

• Experience using coastal engineering modeling tools.
• Ability to translate coastal processes into practical, constructible designs.
• Familiarity with USACE, FEMA, and regulatory permitting processes.
• Ability to collaborate across structural, geotechnical, environmental, and civil disciplines.

Responsabilités

• Lead planning, analysis, and design of coastal projects.
• Prepare reports, drawings, bid packages, and permits.
• Apply USACE, FEMA, and other standards to develop practical solutions.
• Provide technical oversight and QA/QC across deliverables.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate across disciplines.
• Engage with clients and stakeholders to advance objectives.
