Job summary

OneAmerica is seeking a Senior Manager to lead the Washington for All Coalition, directing strategy, partner engagement, and external alignment across advocacy, policy, organizing, and narrative campaigns. The Coalition Lead recruits and coordinates a broad table across labor, business, faith, service, nonprofit, and community sectors.

Reporting to the Chief of Staff, you will translate priorities into disciplined coalition plans, track commitments, and move partnerships toward shared action,

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in coalition coordination or leadership, community organizing, advocacy, or related work.
• Experience recruiting and coordinating diverse partners across labor, business, faith, service, nonprofit, community, and elected networks.
• Experience leading coalitions, alliances, campaign tables, multi-stakeholder partnerships, or high-stakes collaborative efforts.
• Strong project management skills with deadlines and follow-up across multiple workstreams.
• Strong understanding of advocacy strategy, campaign planning, power-building, civic engagement.
• Excellent facilitation, written communication, negotiation, and conflict-navigation skills.
• Deep commitment to racial equity, social justice, inclusive coalition practice.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, engage, and organize a broad-based coalition across sectors.
• Develop coalition strategy aligned with organizational goals and priorities.
• Assess coalition health, risks, opportunities; suggest corrective actions.
• Represent OA in coalition spaces and external meetings.
• Manage partner dynamics with transparency and strategic clarity.
• Lead mass mobilization goals and coordinate commitments for actions.
• Align messages and spokespeople; coordinate campaign materials.
• Facilitate regular coalition meetings and maintain shared work plans.
