Assistant Boys' Track Coach

Blue Springs School District

2026-2027

Position Summary: To help each participating student achieve a high level of skill, an appreciation for the values of discipline and sportsmanship, and an increased level of self-esteem. Assist with the track program.

• This position reports to the Activities Director and Head Coach
• Salary will be commensurate with experience.
• Salary Range is $5,046 - $5,550

Essential Functions:

• Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the rules and fundamentals of track.
• Provide emergency first aid.
• Maintain a conducive and safe environment.
• Maintain, issue, and provide an accurate inventory of school equipment. Model skills of the sport.
• Develop positive relations with student and parents. This includes appropriate dress, language, and demeanor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Supervises students in program.

Experience: Previous experience in coaching track preferred.

Education: Educator certification preferred. Must hold a valid Missouri teaching certificate or be eligible for a substitute teaching certificate (minimum 60 college credit hours.)
