Job summary

Eagle Ridge Academy is seeking coaches for the Middle School Basketball program (boys and girls). The role involves directing, supporting, and implementing the activity program with an education-first coaching philosophy.

Season runs November–March, with additional camp and clinic opportunities in other seasons. Applicants should have proven coaching experience, strong communication skills (weekly family emails), and organizational abilities.

Qualifications

• Must have proven knowledge and experience to coach the activity.
• Excellent communication with families; weekly emails required.
• Demonstrated strong organizational skills.
• Head coaching license/certificate or meet MSHSL requirements to be head coach.

Responsibilities

• Direct, support and fully implement the assigned activity program with an education-based coaching philosophy.
• Instruct participants in fundamental skills and strategies for individual and team success.
• Coordinate season activities from November–March with camps/clinics in other seasons; stipend available.

Middle School Basketball Coaches (boys and girls)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven knowledge and experience necessary to coach the activity
• Good communication skills – Weekly emails to families required
• Demonstrated organizational skills
• Head coaching license/certificate or meet the MSHSL requirements to be a head coach

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise a total program K-12
• Previous head coaching experience and substantial knowledge base in assigned activity
• Proven ability to work with middle school & high school aged students modeling positive character and responsible behavior
• Commitment to continuous improvement
• Fundraising and/or public speaking
• Confidence teaching the assigned activity

POSITION SUMMARY:

To direct, support and fully implement the assigned High School Activity Program with an education-based philosophy of teaching and coaching. Instruct all participants in the fundamental skills and strategies of the activity for them to realize a degree of individual and team success.Season runs November-March with camp and clinic opportunities in other seasons. Stipend available.
