Job summary

DePaul Cristo Rey High School in Cincinnati is seeking an experienced basketball coach for a seasonal role. You should have solid basketball knowledge, the ability to develop winning strategies, and strong leadership.

The position requires good physical condition and decision-making under pressure, with a paid stipend awarded at season's end. You will organize and run the program, meet all OHSAA rules, and uphold the school's expectations for character and learning environment.

Qualifications

• Coaching basketball at high school or college level preferred.
• Knowledge of OHSAA rules and regulations.
• Must be physically capable and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Valid Ohio Pupil Activity Permit required.
• Complete health and safety training and certifications.

Are you a passionate advocate for youth and athletics? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced basketball coach. You should have solid knowledge of basketball and be able to develop winning strategies. You should be in good physical condition, be able to make decisions under pressure, and have exceptional leadership skills. DPCR offers a paid stipend at the successful conclusion of the season

Essential skills/functions:

• Demonstrated ability to organize and implement successful program
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Abide by all OHSAA rules and regulations as well as the character and learning environment standards of DPCR.
• Good physical condition and able to lift up to 50lbs.

Job qualifications

• Successful participation in a similar activity in high school and/or college.
• Minimum of three years of successful past coaching experience at the middle, high, or college level
• Knowledge of sport it’s mechanics, rules, equipment and terms.
• Possess a valid Ohio Department of Education Pupil Activity Permit
• Complete all required Health and Safety training and certifications to be eligible to coach in Ohio
• Valid driver’s license; must be insurable with good driving record
