Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Assumes the responsibilities as head Coach in theabsence
• of the Head Coach.
• Directs and assumes responsibility for the area of the program
• assigned by the Head Coach
• Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program
• of that particular sport and the total athletic program.
• Is loyal to the coach and to the team. A First Assistant Coach
• generally must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform
• to the overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.
• Assists the head Coach in a manner which will be most
• beneficial to the entire program.
• Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance
• of a specific team within the total program as assigned
• by the Head Coach.
• Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic administrator
• or Head Coach.
• Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.
• Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the
• end of the season.
• Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating
• procedures
• Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the
• Head Coach, Athletic Administrator or Principal.
