Responsibilities

• Assumes head Coach responsibilities in the absence of the Head Coach.
• Directs and takes charge of program area assigned by Head Coach.
• Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program for the sport and overall athletics.
• Loyal to the coach and team, aligning with the Head Coach's plan.
• Assists Head Coach in a manner beneficial to the entire program.
• Develops and guides a specific team within the total program as assigned.
• Attends all meetings requested by Athletic administrator or Head Coach.
• Covers scouting trips as requested by the Head Coach.
• Assists in equipment check-in at season end.
• Complies with Athletic Department policies and procedures.
• Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by Head Coach or Principal.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Assumes the responsibilities as head Coach in theabsence of the Head Coach.
• Directs and assumes responsibility for the area of the program assigned by the Head Coach
• Supports the Head Coach in conducting the athletic program of that particular sport and the total athletic program.
• Is loyal to the coach and to the team. A First Assistant Coach generally must give up some of his/her own thoughts to conform to the overall pattern as set forth by the Head Coach.
• Assists the head Coach in a manner which will be most beneficial to the entire program.
• Assumes the responsibility for the development and guidance of a specific team within the total program as assigned by the Head Coach.
• Attends all meetings requested by the Athletic administrator or Head Coach.
• Covers scouting trips requested by the Head Coach.
• Assists the Head Coach in checking in all equipment at the end of the season.
• Abides by the Athletic Department policies and operating procedures
• Performs other coaching-related duties as directed by the Head Coach, Athletic Administrator or Principal.
