Job Description / Essential Elements

Position: Frosh-Soph/JV Coach

Supervisor: Athletic Director under the direction of the site principal

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Demonstrate knowledge of fundamental skills and techniques for the sport.
• Organize practices and collaborate with the varsity head coach and Athletic Director on conditioning programs.
• Manage equipment and uniforms, follow district policies, and maintain positive communication with players, parents, and staff.
• Instill commitment, discipline, and teamwork, and help students balance academics and athletics.
• Adhere to CIF/CCSBVAL Coaches Code of Conduct and district protocols.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Playing experience at high school, collegiate, amateur, or professional levels.
• Experience coaching youth leagues, middle school, or sports camps.
• Current California coaching certifications, including mandated reporter training.
• Pass district fingerprint clearance and provide professional references.

Requirements / Qualifications:

• Complete Edjoin online application, submit cover letter and resume.
• Pass fingerprint clearance, provide TB test, CPR, First Aid, ASEP, SCA, Heat Illness Prevention, Mandate Reporter, Sexual Harassment, Bloodborne Pathogen, and Concussion certifications prior to employment.

Please note that compensation is conditional on restrictions lifting and team participation in the fall season.
