United Way Miami Inc is hiring a Co-Teacher for a 10-month assignment in Miami, FL. The role supports the Mentor and Teacher to provide a safe, nurturing environment that fosters social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth for children.

Responsibilities include implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, observing and documenting progress, collaborating on reflective planning, and engaging with families.

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development.
• Florida DCFS 45 hours required before hiring.
• Bilingual preferred to support diverse families.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with children and families frequently, affectionately and respectfully.
• Collaborate with lead teacher to design reflective curriculum and environments.
• Document children's progress and observe health, behavior, and development.
• Follow reflective planning cycle with families and staff.
• Maintain safety, supervision, and health standards in the classroom.
