Job Purpose: Oversee the Lead Worker and Machine Operator; facilitate laundry and contractual obligations of the VA Hospital.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily operations at the program site.
• Maintain production and quality standards.
• Assign and direct work of team members and staff.
• Set up and break down the work area daily.
• Communicate effectively with staff, team members, and customers.
• Attend all required meetings.
• Supervise staff as appropriate, evaluate, and provide feedback with corrective actions.
• Complete Medicaid-required documentation, including daily notes and monthly summaries.
• Maintain all Zoom Group documentation and training requirements.
• Assist team members in performing their work independently.
• Encourage professional conduct and dress.
• Assist with personal care and medications as needed.
• Train staff in following directions, reaching goals, and self-advocacy.
• Ensure laundry processing follows the AbilityOne contract and related policies, including VA Laundry Procedures Soil Side and Clean Side.
• Assist the Director with updating policies and procedures.
• Ensure safety compliance per OSHA standards.
• Supervise Machine Operators, Leads, and Team Members.
• Oversee soiled-side and clean-side operations.
• Manage linen inventory, clinic orders, billing, and documentation.
• Work one Saturday per month for equipment blowdown.
• Prepare bulk and exchange carts, ensuring correct linen shipment and documentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in all work areas.
• Assist with processing linen through machinery following sanitary guidelines.
• Complete testing as assigned upon linen arrival.

Qualifications:

• At least three years of laundry experience.
• CLLM or ALM Laundry Certification.

Working Conditions: The environment includes office, laundry clean, and soil areas, which may be climate-controlled or not, and may involve loud, dusty, or lint-filled conditions with moving equipment.
