DEQ is seeking a professional to assist in the delivery and facilitation of the pretreatment program under the Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) through project management and coordination, policy development, technical support, and collaboration with programmatic partners.

Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to program staff, and ensures compliance with statutes, regulations or grant guidelines, policies, commitments, and procedures.

Job description

This position assists in the delivery and facilitation of DEQ's pretreatment program under the Virginia Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (VPDES) program through project management and coordination, policy development, technical support, and collaboration with programmatic partners. Provides development and implementation of one or more of the following: policies, regulations, guidance, work plans, program manuals, technical procedures, and other technical tools for enhancing water program effectiveness. Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to program staff, and ensures compliance with applicable statutes, regulations or grant guidelines, policies, commitments, and procedures.

Please note this position follows a hybrid work schedule to include both in-office and telework. Candidates must be able to work from the assigned work location in Virginia.
