Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking an Intern/Co-op - Traffic Engineering to join its collaborative team in Pittsburgh, PA. This role provides exposure to transportation impact studies, parking studies, traffic signal design, and HOP plans, with field work and data collection involved.

The position offers involvement with transportation master planning and collaboration with the Site/Civil group, requiring active student enrollment in Civil or Transportation Engineering and

Qualifications

• Pursuing a four-year or advanced degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Familiarity with HCS, SYNCHRO and MUTCD desirable.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MicroStation and/or SoftDesk civil software is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and in a team; travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform traffic observation.
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, design plans and specifications for traffic/ transportation projects.
• Observe construction.
• Perform other duties as requested.
