Job summary

Philips in Cambridge, MA invites a Co-op - Software Engineer (R&D) for January to August 2027. You will join a motivated software development team building next-generation medical information systems.

Pursuing an MS in Computer Science or related field, you will learn from experienced architects, contribute to agile projects, and apply design patterns and cloud skills on AWS to address real clinical and business challenges.

Qualifications

• Pursuing an MS in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or related degrees.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented software development concepts.
• Understanding of scalable, secure AWS-based cloud architecture using AWS services like EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch and IAM.
• Understanding of design patterns and applying them to scalable, mission-critical systems.
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Preferred: Java, Spring Boot, C# .NET, AngularJS, and SQL; familiarity with data analytics and BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications and components within a software development team for next-generation medical information systems.
