Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Co-Op Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering student in Utah (West Jordan) for Q4 2026, with potential extension into 2027 and possible full-time after graduation. You’ll design and improve high-purity pump technologies, contribute across the engineering lifecycle, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive manufacturing improvements.

The role emphasizes hands-on ownership, strong technical fundamentals, and teamwork, with exposure to semiconductor-grade environments

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering bachelor’s degree.
• Graduating in Spring 2027.
• Experience with 3D CAD (SolidWorks preferred).
• Understanding of pump systems and high-purity applications.

Responsibilities

• Design, model, and release components, subassemblies, and full products using internal development procedures.
• Improve manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures to enhance safety, quality, yield, and throughput using Lean and Six Sigma tools.
• Support process validations, including test execution and documentation, under guidance of senior engineers.
• Collaborate with Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure manufacturability and quality of designs.
• Provide hands-on support for Operations through troubleshooting and documentation.
