Job summary

IDEX, through Viking Pump Inc., a Unit of IDEX Corporation, is seeking a student co-op in Cedar Falls, Iowa. You will join the Engineering Department to work on design projects supporting Growth and Innovation and Global Distribution.

You will participate on cross-functional teams and help with New Product Development, Value Engineering, and derivative projects, creating and updating SolidWorks models and managing ERP BOMs.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering Technology, Aerospace Engineering or Industrial Technology.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0 in Major.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Participate on cross-functional project teams.
• Support New Product Development, Value Engineering, & Derivative Product projects.
• Create and Update models and drawings in SolidWorks.
• Maintain part numbers and Bills of Material in ERP system.
• Other engineering projects as assigned.
