Job summary

MilliporeSigma's Indianapolis facility seeks a co-op to support our Life Science Biology franchise within R&D. The role focuses on equipment reliability, spare parts sourcing, and upgrades for LNP/mRNA related processes, with hands-on drafting exposure.

Current students pursuing ABET-accredited bachelor's degrees in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering will contribute to downtime tracking, PM planning, and OEM communications while gaining practical, cross-functional experience in

Qualifications

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Engineering from an ABET-accredited school.

Responsibilities

Evaluation of OEM documentation against on-site spare parts availability.
Sourcing of spare parts that are obsolete or hard to find.
Recommended upgrades and retrofits of obsolete parts.
Communication between OEM and MSIG management.
Implementation and qualification of upgraded parts to improve sustainability.
Development of downtime tracker pertaining to equipment.
Evaluation of non planned work orders and development of PM programs from data/OEM recommendations.
Other equipment/facility reliability initiatives as assigned.
