Job summary

Boyd Corporation in Woburn, MA is seeking an Associate Engineer/Coop to support our engineering team in tooling design, process improvements, and manufacturing collaboration.

You will generate work instructions, assist in RCCA and design reviews, run 3D printing for metal and plastic parts, and help with testing and inspections to meet customer requirements. This hands-on role offers exposure to machining, brazing, heat treating, and welding processes.

Responsibilities

• Generate work instructions for manufacturing processes.
• Design tooling and fixtures to support production.
• Assist in disposition of QC Tags, DMRs, RMAs.
• Collaborate with machining, brazing, heat treating and welding to meet cost/quality goals.
• Data analysis including CMMs to drive improvements.
• Review customer documentation packages.
• Participate in design, RCCA, and other engineering reviews.
• Assist in minor assembly tasks and product testing.
• Set up and run 3D printing equipment for metal and plastic.
• Post printing processing and material tracking.
• Support R&D activities and other tasks as assigned.
