Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks a Co-op Engineer in the Rail/Track Department in the Philadelphia area. You will work under engineers to produce construction plans, study alignments, and participate in field visits while developing CAD drafting skills and gaining exposure to high-speed rail and passenger projects.

Strong emphasis on learning design fundamentals, environmental mitigation, and coordination with Amtrak, SEPTA, and other authorities.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.
• Basic knowledge of engineering concepts including geometry and algebra.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist design teams with trackwork drawings and documentation.
• Learn environmental mitigation and transit design fundamentals.
• Support field visits, client meetings, and CAD drafting tasks.
