This internship involves assisting assigned departments or projects by performing basic engineering tasks aligned with standard post-secondary engineering curricula.

Our project portfolio includes notable projects such as Brightline in Miami, Sound Transit’s University Link Light Rail Extension in Seattle, the Tappan Zee Bridge in New York, and Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara.

Under close supervision, you will support the Transportation Department by performing basic engineering tasks, including designing highway, bridge, and transit system projects. Our team designs key infrastructure for clients like PennDOT, PA Turnpike, SEPTA, and Amtrak.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Assisting in preparing highway design documents, including alignments, design criteria, signing, pavement markings, traffic control, utility coordination, right-of-way, drainage, grading, and cost estimates.
  2. Participating in field visits or client meetings.
  3. Developing CAD drafting skills.

We are seeking Co-op Engineers for our Philadelphia and King of Prussia, PA offices for Fall/Winter 2025-2026. Relocation and housing are not provided.

What You’ll Do:

  • Assist engineering teams with various tasks.
  • Support research, development, and design efforts.
  • Help prepare engineering drawings and documents.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent and current enrollment in an accredited post-secondary engineering program.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Basic understanding of engineering, geometric, and algebraic principles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to follow directions from peers and supervisors.
  • Understanding of introductory shop drawing and submittal procedures.
  • Ability to perform basic engineering calculations.
  • Organizational skills for managing information in drawings or documents.

What We Prefer:

  • Completion of at least 2 years of post-secondary engineering coursework.
  • Basic knowledge of drafting software (AutoCAD, Microstation, or OpenRoads).
  • Interest in highway design and transportation projects.
