Job summary

Fidelity in Boston offers a 6‑month co‑op within the AI Center of Excellence to translate data into insights for strategic decisions. You’ll work with diverse data sources to drive customer experiences in financial services and wealth management.

You’ll join a data science team, build ML models for recommendations and financial insights, run experiments, and collaborate with ML engineers and financial planning specialists to deliver high-impact AI projects.

Qualifications

Join a Data Science team within the AI Center of Excellence focused on using AI to improve customer financial wellbeing. We combine advanced machine learning with deep financial planning expertise to build high impact systems for personalized engagement, opportunity detection, and tax efficient financial optimization.

What You’ll Do

• Build, refine, and evaluate ML models for recommendations and financial insights.

What We’re Looking For

• Pursuing a degree in CS, Data Science, Statistics, Applied Math, Finance/FinTech, or similar
• Strong Python skills (pandas, NumPy, scikit learn)
• Solid understanding of core ML concepts
• Curiosity about financial planning and wealth management

Preferred

• Experience with classical AI/ML and LLM prompt engineering
• Exposure to agentic AI or reasoning frameworks
• SQL and large dataset experience
• Strong communication and problem solving skills

The base salary range for this position is $39 - $70 per hour.
