Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies is seeking a motivated Project Manager Co-op in Cincinnati, OH to support estimating, scheduling, design meetings, and subcontractor management during a 6–8 month full-time internship. You will gain real-world experience by assisting PMs with bids, permits, and on-site visits as you explore a path to full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in a Civil/Mechanical/Architectural or Construction Management Bachelor’s degree program.
• Minimum Grade Point Average of 3.0/4.0.
• Previous Internship or Co-op construction experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Estimating – describe project proposals and assign dollar values.
• Scheduling – create a working timeline for subcontractors/trades to complete the project on time.
• Design meetings – attend design meetings with owner and team to understand design proposals from engineers and architects.
• Buyout – send bid instructions, schedule, and drawings to subcontractors; evaluate proposals and award subcontracts.
• Permitting – fill out permit forms, submit with drawings and fees, and obtain approvals.
• Shop Drawing and Submittal Review – receive submissions, review, and coordinate with PM to begin ordering materials.
• Billing – manage Subcontracts, change orders, pay requests, and pay applications.
• Job Site Visits – accompany PM to ensure the project runs smoothly.
