Job summary

RTX invites students to join Pratt & Whitney for an onsite internship/co-op focusing on mechanical and aerospace projects in Macon, GA. You will support project management, standard work creation, and tooling documentation while gaining exposure to corrective-action analysis with real-world impact.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a bachelor’s in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Industrial Engineering, with a 3.0 GPA, CAD skills (AutoCAD/NX), and familiarity with Minitab or similar statistics software.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field and actively enrolled through the completion of the co-op.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA
• Prior RTX internship, co-op or work experience
• CAD modeling experience (Ex. AutoCad, NX, etc)
• Minitab or other statistical analysis software

Responsibilities

• Help project manage engineering tasks to ensure schedule commitments are met
• Help create or update Standard Work for new part introduction projects
• Help in supporting on-going project qualifications
• Updating or creating any tooling prints/models to support ongoing projects.
• Provide analysis and develop recommendations for corrective actions due to process failures.

This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
