Job summary

Winchester Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate to support patients under supervision of a nurse. The role focuses on basic procedures to support care, comfort and safety, and contributes to patient satisfaction.

Requirements include high school diploma, BLS, CNA, nursing student with clinical rotation, three months clinical care experience, and successful completion of the CATP training program. English communication and basic computer skills are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS – Basic Life Support
• Certified Nursing Assistant
• Nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation
• Three months of clinical care experience
• Successful completion of the Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP)
• Must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and hospital team
• Basic computer skills

Responsibilities

• Assisting with activities of daily living
• Repositioning and ambulating patients
• Making an occupied and unoccupied bed
• Assisting in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment
• Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens
• Retrieving and signing out blood products
• Accurately performs point of care testing
• Obtains vital signs and weights
• Maintains accurate intake and output measurements
• Removes Foley catheters and saline locks

Working under the direction of a nurse, the Clinical Associate contributes to the Hospital’s mission by performing basic procedures necessary to provide patients’ care, comfort, and safety. This clinical staff position will have an impact on the quality of care and patient satisfaction by providing for their physical and emotional needs.

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.89
