Job summary

Winchester Hospital is seeking a Clinical Associate to contribute to patient care under RN supervision. Per diem schedule with duties ranging from ADLs to specimen collection and basic testing. Strong English communication and prior CNA/clinical rotation experience preferred.

Education of a high school diploma or equivalent is strongly preferred; BLS certification is required. Eligible candidates will join a growing health system with a focus on quality and compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant or nursing student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation or three months of clinical care experience.
• Must read, write and communicate effectively in English for safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and patient comfort.
• Reposition and ambulate patients; make beds.
• Transport patients, beds, supplies and equipment.
• Collect, label and transport specimens; retrieve blood products.
• Perform point-of-care testing and obtain vital signs and intake/output.
• Remove Foley catheters and saline locks.

Working under the direction of a nurse, the Clinical Associate contributes to the Hospital’s mission by performing basic procedures necessary to provide patients’ care, comfort, and safety. This clinical staff position will have an impact on the quality of care and patient satisfaction by providing for their physical and emotional needs.

As a Clinical Associate at Winchester Hospital, you will be responsible (but not limited to) for the following: Assisting with activities of daily living Repositioning and ambulating patients Making an occupied and unoccupied bed Assisting in transporting patients, beds, supplies and equipment Collecting, labeling and transporting specimens Retrieving and signing out blood products Accurately performs point of care testing Obtains vital signs and weights Maintains accurate intake and output measurements Removes Foley catheters and saline locks

Education Required: High school diploma/equivalent is strongly preferred Certifications: BLS – Basic Life Support Must have/be one of the following: Certified Nursing Assistant Nursing Student with completion of one medical-surgical clinical rotation Three months of clinical care experience Successful completion of the Winchester Hospital: Clinical Associate Training Program (CATP) Other Skills/Knowledge: Required: For safety and quality reasons, must be able to read, write and communicate effectively in English with patients, visitors and fellow members of the hospital team Preferred: Basic computer skills

Pay Range: $17.00 - $19.89 The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time.
