Job summary

Winchester Hospital, part of Beth Israel Lahey Health, is seeking a Per Diem Clinical Associate for rotating shifts in the Nursing Support department. Under supervision, you will perform basic procedures to support patient care, safety and comfort, including ADL assistance, bed making, and assisting with transporting patients and equipment.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, BLS certification, and eligibility for the Winchester Hospital Clinical Associate Training Program

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent strongly preferred.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification required.
• Certified Nursing Assistant, nursing student with clinical rotation, or completion of Winchester Hospital CATP.
• Three months of clinical care experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living, including repositioning and patient transport.
• Make beds and assist in patient transfers and comfort.
• Collect and transport specimens; perform point-of-care testing; obtain vital signs.
• Maintain intake and output records and manage Foley catheters as appropriate.
