Job summary

Boehringer Ingelheim is seeking talented co-op candidates to join our IT Ops and Labs team at the Animal Health campus in Athens, GA. You will collect, evaluate and implement IT- and data-centric improvement ideas, collaborating with a global team to deliver AI, data science, software engineering, APIs, IoT, BI, and related technologies.

This on-site internship requires 2-3 days per week in Athens and at least 4 months, with potential extension.

Qualifications

At least two years of experience with software development or related coursework.
Must be an Undergraduate, Graduate, or Professional Student in good academic standing.
Must have completed 12 credit hours within a related major and/or other related coursework.
GPA at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (no rounding up).
Major must be related to the internship field.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business partners to collect ideas for application/process improvements.
Propose IT-centered enhancements, technology use-cases, and/or solutions.
Develop a pilot project with local IT to implement an improvement project using state-of-the-art technologies (AI/ML/DS, IoT, APIs, SQL, RPA).
Execute the pilot project using Agile methodologies and framework.
Document the solution design and transfer knowledge to the local IT team.
Support business partners with technology-related needs.
