Clients are primarily located in community‑based group homes. Sessions may also be conducted in community‑based offices, the company’s main office, or via telehealth if either the client or the counselor is physically located on site.
Co‑Occurring Disorder Counselor – Independent Contractor. The role spans two organizations: Lighthouse Behavioral Health Center and Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center. The contractor maintains separate contracts with each entity, invoices separately, and is responsible for taxes, benefits, and liability coverage.
Assigned clients reside mainly in community‑based group homes. The counselor schedules and facilitates group and individual counseling sessions, conducts assessments, and completes documentation throughout the service period.
The contractor must hold a valid Maryland license in one of the following:
Contractors are compensated per service rendered (e.g., per session or group). Invoices must be submitted by Saturday at midnight each week, listing dates, locations, and service details.
The contractor retains discretion over service delivery but is not entitled to employee benefits. Appropriate professional liability insurance must be maintained and proof provided upon request.
The full‑time W‑2 position spans two organizations: Lighthouse Behavioral Health Center and Community Wellness Outpatient Mental Health Center. Each organization employs the counselor part‑time (≈20 hours per week), combining to a total of 40 hours.
