Cascade AIDS Project through CAP Northwest seeks a skilled Co-Occurring Behavioral Therapist III at Prism Morris in North Portland. You will perform evaluations, diagnose mental health and substance use disorders, determine ASAM level of care and develop individual treatment plans for LGBTQ+ clients, people affected by HIV/AIDS, and the community.

• Experience with outpatient mental health and substance use treatment for LGBTQ+ clients and HIV/AIDS.

Responsibilities

• Client evaluations including intake interviews and diagnoses with treatment recommendations.
• Identify issues and determine risk and safety factors for clients.
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans with evidence-based practices.
• Document care provided in the EHR within 48 hours of meetings.
• Collaborate with care team to assess and plan treatment.
• Conduct individual or group therapy sessions coordinating with LMP.

Since opening its doors in 2017, Prism Health has become a model for culturally specific care and now serves over 4,000+ patients with a wide range of services, from day-to-day primary care and pharmacy needs to targeted services like gender-affirming care and specialized population health screenings.

Prism Health a program apart of CAP Northwest is excited to announce that we are hiring a skilled and team-oriented Co-Occurring Behavioral Therapist III. The Co-Occurring Behavioral Health Therapist III (COBHT III) is responsible for providing Co-occurring evaluations, including initial intake assessments with additional ASAM dimensions, formulating mental health and substance use diagnoses, identifying and providing appropriate treatment services including ASAM level of care placement, and service plan development for our LGBTQ+ clients; people affected and infected with HIV/AIDS; and the community at large. Treatment services will include identifying barriers to access, facilitating individual and group counseling, community outreach, care coordination, and case management

This is a Full-Time role working at our Prism Morris location in North Portland, but some flexibility to work out of SE Belmont location may be needed. The schedule for this role is Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with some 8am all staff meetings.

Starting pay is $81,634.18. The Co-Occurring Behavioral Therapist Pay increases with tenure and the top of the pay scale being BHT III $89,922.46. This is a union represented position, so the compensation, benefits and conditions of work are collectively bargained.

Who You Are

Credentials:

• COBHT III: Unrestricted license to practice in the State of Oregon. (LPC, LMFT, LCSW, PsyD)
• CADC Certified Alcohol Drug Counselor certification through MHACBO
• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related area of specialization.
• Knowledge of ASAM Dimension and Level of Care Placement
• Experience providing outpatient mental health and substance use disorder treatment for; LGBTQ+ clients and their families; clients who have HIV/AIDS and their families; and the community at large.
• Knowledgeable in Evidence Based Practices such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), etc.

What You’ll Do

• Client evaluations, including initial intake interviews, formulating mental health and substance abuse diagnoses, and identifying appropriate treatment services; notify client, significant others, care givers, and/or care providers of diagnoses and initial treatment recommendations in a timely manner; complete written narrative of evaluation, obtain necessary authorizations for disclosure.
• Identify psychological, emotional, or behavioral issues and diagnose disorders, using information obtained from interviews, tests, records, and reference materials; determine risk and safety factors for clients.
• Develop and implement individual treatment plans, specifying type, frequency, intensity, and duration of therapy using evidence-based practices.
• Provide all necessary documentation in the EHR of care provided to patient within 48 hours of meeting with client.
• Collaborate with care team to perform clinical assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct individual or group therapy sessions, coordinating care with LMP.
