Job summary

Columbia Sportswear Company in Portland, OR is seeking a Co-Manager to guide daily store operations, boost sales, and deliver memorable customer experiences under the Store Manager's guidance.

You will lead and develop associates, plan productivity enhancements, manage inventory and hiring, and uphold high standards. A Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) and 3 years of functional experience are required; POS proficiency and software familiarity are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, applicable certification or equivalent experience.
• 3 years of functional experience.
• No formal management experience required, however has experience in leading projects and people.
• Strong problem-solving skills; ability to resolve technical, operational and organizational problems and drive decisions that impact finances, efficiency and effectiveness of the store.
• POS system and various software packages experience.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership, direction and coaching to the other leadership and associate staff.
• Identify and create plans to enhance employee productivity and performance (e.g., track employee results and make suggestions for modifying goals accordingly).
• Demonstrate exceptional customer service and problem-solving skills by assisting customers regarding products, features, benefits, availability, and resolving escalated complaints.
• Maintain appropriate inventory levels through effective replenishment, organization, shrink control, and communication.
• Identify store hiring needs and conduct interviewing, hiring, and training for store staff, conduct and plan employee training, development, and coaching.
• Motivate, educate, guide, and develop associates to meet long-range growth plans/career paths within the store, field, and general office.
• Assist the store leadership team on other responsibilities as needed
