Diesel Barbershop SATX is seeking a strong barber or stylist who leads by example. As a Co-Manager, you’ll balance cutting with shop leadership, team development, and maintaining a high-energy culture.

Qualifications

Who We Are

Diesel Barbershop isn't your typical barbershop-we're busier, louder, and built around team culture. Think classic barbershop meets modern salon, with music up, energy high, and clients who expect a great cut and a great experience.

The Role

We're looking for a strong barber or stylist who leads by example. As a Manager, you'll spend most of your time behind the chair while also supporting shop operations, team development, and culture.

This is ideal for someone who

• Wants leadership responsibility without giving up cutting

What You’ll Do

Behind the Chair

• Deliver top-notch men's haircuts, fades, beard trims, and shaves
• Provide consistent consultations and exceptional client service
• Maintain a clean, professional workstation
• Build strong client relationships and drive repeat business

Leadership & Shop Operations

• Lead by example in punctuality, professionalism, and work ethic
• Help schedule staff and ensure proper coverage
• Support interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new team members
• Coach the team on performance metrics (rebooking, average ticket, services per hour, retail, service time)
• Reinforce Diesel standards and procedures (service steps, appearance guidelines, cash handling, phone etiquette, appointments)
• Handle client concerns calmly and professionally
• Assist with cash drawer accuracy, deposits, and end-of-day procedures
• Help keep the shop clean and organized

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed Barber or Cosmetologist (Texas)
• At least 3 years of experience as a licensed Barber or Cosmetologist
• At least 1 year of leadership experience
• Strong technical skills with men's cuts, fades, and razor work
• Natural leader with integrity, reliability, and professionalism
• Solution-oriented mindset
• Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
• Flexible availability, including nights and weekends
• Someone teammates respect and clients trust

What This Role Is Not

• Not booth rental
• Not a "title only" position

This is a working leader role for someone who takes pride in both their craft and their team.
